By observing the three European artistic exhibitions (PRAGUE BIENNIAL, DOCUMENTA 12 in KASSEL and 52nd VENICE BIENNIAL), we can tell that the commercialization of art has become a global trend. This phenomenon means the system of art collection has gone beyond art criticism and audience’s demand. This is the triumph of capital. The era of modernism in which art is the cultural avant-garde has passed into history. In the process of globalization, perhaps, plain works which focuses on visual effect is easier to be accepted by the public.
